The Promise of a New Day July 22, 2001 Cherie Marshall-Jones (Adelaide, South Australia) 14 out of 15 found this review helpful
All I am wanting to say, is that, this book was given to me by my best friend, my Mum, in January 1998. It is such a God-send. I will treasure it for all my days. It is a shame that it is out of print - it is such a perfect book for daily reflection, that quite often is poignant to the day. It is my favourite, and the leather binding with the bible textured paper is most appropriate. I cannot speak highly enough of this book, its messages move me so deeply, to the point of tears. Those who wrote and illustrated it, are so in touch with the deeper essence of life - God bless their souls. Please, if you can, pass on my heart-felt gratitude. Now that I have discovered the other books they have written, I shall be checking them out. May God truly bless you and shower you all with such profound Love. Thank You.

A nice book of inspiring thoughts. As a big fan of Max Lucado's Grace for the moment I really enjoy the daily reminders to help start my day. Wanting to stay away from a "religious" perpsective I purchased this book to give as a gift to several co-workers, and ended up purchasing one for myself!
Refreshing Thoughts June 27, 2006 Sherry R. (IL United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I had originally ordered this book for myself and after reading many of the reflections I ordered several more for friends. I can't express enough how important is to me to look at other views on things in life. This book give me an opportunity to look at the readings and how they relate so much to what's happening in my life. It's a good way to get out of yourself for a few minutes without picking up a mind altering substance. I would recommend it to anyone to read in the morning or before going to sleep. I get my day started with a fresh thought for the day. One of the ladies I purchased it for reads in the evening and it really does help her rest better after a hectic day and everything is still racing especially up in her head.

I've really enjoyed this so far - I started reading one a day in January. It has been a wonderfully inspirational, daily reading. I've also really liked being able to share it with my Christian family as well as my agnostic friends. The sentiments are universally applicable. Even the cynics I've share readings with have been moved.
THE PROMISE OF A NEW DAY: a Book of Daily Meditations May 26, 2008 marika (Marin County, California USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am delighted with the book especially since I found a very clean, good condition used leather-bound version. I have used this meditation booklet for at least 30 years. Finally I have given away and or lost all of my 6 books and was afraid I wouldn't find one, thinking it would now be out of print. I found this used one (hardly used), couldn't believe it was so easy to find as well as inexpensive. I would recommend this little book for everyone as a daily tool for living sucessfully. It is spiritual but not religious, refreshing in this day and age, when religion seems to be the basis for all self-improvement. This is not a requirement, only a little self examination and responsibility for self. Daily reflections with affirmations.
