| Customer Reviews: Faith and Fitness: Diet and Exercise for a Better World May 25, 2007 Eileen Herzog (New York) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A far deeper motivation for fitness than anything else I've ever read. Everyone who is interested in staying healthy needs to read this short book first to put other 'fitness books and magazines' in perspective.
A great conceptual read! July 3, 2007 A. Glenn (Columbus, Ohio) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
While very few are out there, this book does wonders for putting our body in the limelight of what God intended it to be used on a daily basis. This is one topic you don't hear widely discussed in churches today, however, is highly needed. Tom talks about how if we all focused a little more on our community, everyone would loose weight and feed the hungry. Great read!
Faith, Fitness, and your Future September 16, 2008 Chris Desantis (Ft. Myers, Fl.) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book combines an insightful look at fitness and nutrition the way it was supposed to be from the beginning. It outlines what we're missing in our diet, and in our daily routine. It changes the way we see things by changing our mindset.
The Best Motivation April 16, 2010 The best motivation for doing anything is love. Lasting motivation for fitness does not come from the temporary self satisfaction of looking good to ourselves in the mirror and/or to others at class reunions or other events. Lasting motivation for exercise comes from love. Love of the Lord and the marvelous body He created for us. Love of family, friends and the ability to serve and care for them. Love of the knowledge that we are doing the right thing for ourselves and others. Tom's great suggestions for diet and exercise are but a part of a larger vision for a world made better through the lasting motivation of love.
